SLAVC — A STORY OF RETURN
Southern Slovenia, December 2011. A young wolf leaves the forest where he was born and sets out in search of a new territory. His name is Slavc. Fitted with a GPS radio collar, his movements reveal an extraordinary journey across Europe—through mountains, borders and human landscapes.
SHAPED BY AGES – GLACIERS
Glaciers are landscapes shaped by time. Slowly advancing and retreating across the centuries, they carve mountains, open valleys and transform everything in their path. A journey through ice, light and silence, into a world that seems eternal yet is constantly changing.
BETWEEN TREES AND SILENCE
Deep within the forests of Europe, wildlife often reveals itself only for a fleeting moment. Bears, wolves and other animals move through a world of shadows, mist and silence, largely hidden from our eyes. These photographs tell of the long waits and rare encounters that make the forest an endlessly mysterious place.
JACK THE BLACK
Hidden among the trees, the black woodpecker reveals its presence through a distant call, a flash of red, or the sound of its bill against an old trunk. From courtship and nesting to the first days of a new generation, these photographs follow its life through the changing seasons of the forest.
THE CITY OF OWLS — SILENT EYES
Every winter, hundreds of long-eared owls gather in the heart of Kikinda, a small town in northern Serbia. Hidden among the branches above streets and squares, they spend the coldest months quietly sharing the city with its inhabitants—a remarkable encounter between the wild and the human world.
A RELIC OF THE ICE AGE — SURVIVOR
In the windswept highlands of Norway’s Dovrefjell, the musk ox survives in a world of snow, wind and bitter cold. Finding one may require hours of walking and searching across the endless white tundra. Then, suddenly, a dark shape emerges from the distance—a powerful survivor from another age, carrying with it the unmistakable presence of the Ice Age.
WINGSDOM — LIFE ON THE EDGE
With the first days of spring, white storks return to the villages of Serbia after a journey of thousands of kilometres. Males arrive first, restoring the old nests while waiting for their lifelong mates to return. Their arrival brings life back to rooftops and villages, where a nesting pair of storks has long been considered a sign of good fortune.
ESTI — QUIET LIGHT
Estonia is a land of forests, wetlands and quiet shores, where the light seems to linger between mist, water and sky. Wildlife and human presence become fragments of the same northern landscape, shaped by silence and changing seasons. These photographs are a journey through a country where nature still seems to set the rhythm of time.
THE EIGHTH WONDER — MADAGASCAR
Madagascar feels like a world apart, shaped by isolation and home to life found nowhere else on Earth. Lemurs, extraordinary frogs and countless other creatures share this island with people whose lives remain deeply connected to the land. A journey through landscapes, faces and wildlife that make Madagascar seem like an eighth wonder of the world.
A MORNING IN CABRAS
At first light, the wetlands of Cabras slowly come to life. Flamingos move through the shallow water, ospreys cross the sky and small waders appear along the shore. Nothing extraordinary seems to happen, yet everything is in motion. A few hours spent watching a landscape awaken, following the quiet rhythm of birds, water and light.
WHITE-TAILED EAGLE — WILD PLAINS
Across open plains, forests and wetlands, the white-tailed eagle appears and disappears like a recurring presence. Sometimes distant, almost absorbed by the landscape; sometimes unexpectedly close. These photographs bring together encounters made in different places and at different times, following one of Europe’s most imposing birds through the environments it inhabits.
ATMOSPHERES — FRAGMENTS OF THE WORLD
Not every journey becomes a story. Sometimes what remains are fragments: a street at night, a reflection, a face, a colour, a place encountered almost by chance. Photographs made in different countries and at different times, without a common destination. Small pieces of the world connected only by the atmosphere that made me stop and look.
FLAMENCO TIME
Flamenco is more than dance. It is rhythm, tension, gesture and emotion. In the dim light of a small Madrid tablao, bodies, voices and guitars become part of the same language. These photographs try to capture that intensity — the fleeting expressions, the movement and the energy of a performance lived only for a moment.
GLANCE - A MOMENT
A face, a gesture, a glance. Brief encounters with people whose lives I do not know and whose stories I can only imagine. Photographed in different places and at different times, these images are about those few seconds when a stranger stops being part of the crowd and, for a moment, becomes a presence.
BEYOND THE BORDERS - CROSSING LINES
Beyond the polished borders of comfort are places where beauty does not demand attention. It hides in faces, gestures, worn hands and traces left by time. This work is not about poverty or nostalgia, but about presence and dignity — about what survives the slow erosion of time. To photograph these places is not to judge or collect images, but simply to stop, look and witness.
